Rugby Background
So I figured I would blog about the Slippery Rock Women's Rugby Team because we are one pretty bomb team. Before I start posting details about how we're doing I figured you would all need a brief background of the game to fully understand what I'm saying. The place we play the game is called the "pitch". It looks pretty much like a football field on steroids. The ball also looks like a football on steroids because it is nice and plump with more rounded edges. Basic game play consists of two 40 minutes halves. The ball must always be passed backwards, a forward pass results in a penalty. To score is called a "try" and you must physically touch the ball to the ground for it to count. Now that you kind of know what rugby is I will be posting more scores and highlights later on.
